SOFTWARE FOR RESEARCH

Software for
research design.

AtoDrop develops tools for designing and evaluating research. Our survey simulation service helps researchers examine questionnaires before fieldwork.

Explore survey simulation

We help researchers evaluate study designs before collecting data.

Question wording, response options, and study scenarios shape the evidence a survey can produce. Reviewing these choices early can reduce avoidable revisions after fieldwork.

Our work combines software development with survey methodology. We focus on practical tools for comparing alternatives, documenting assumptions, and identifying what needs human validation.

SURVEY SIMULATION

In development

AI-powered
survey simulation.

Review a questionnaire with simulated respondents. Compare revisions and identify questions to investigate in a human pilot.

Review the design
before fieldwork.

The service is being developed to work with a draft questionnaire and a defined audience. Researchers will be able to examine wording, compare scenarios, and explore simulated response patterns across groups.

Development currently focuses on multiple-choice and scale questions for university studies of technology adoption and attitudes.

QUESTION WORDING REVIEWEXAMPLE
Q. 01

“Do you trust this AI service and intend to use it?”

Someone may trust a service without wanting to use it. A single answer cannot tell you which judgment they made.

An illustrative wording review, not a live simulation.

01

Define the study

Provide a questionnaire and the characteristics of your intended audience.

02

Compare revisions

Examine how wording and scenario changes affect simulated responses.

03

Plan human validation

Identify the design choices and interpretations to check in a pilot study.

Validation is part
of the design.

Simulation supports survey preparation. Conclusions about a population require evidence from human respondents.

01

Comparison with human responses

Our validation approach is being developed to assess response distributions, variation, and differences between groups, rather than average responses alone.

02

Explicit limits

We aim to document the scope of available evidence, variability between runs, and questions that require further human testing.

03

Documented methods

Planned outputs include question reviews, revision comparisons, labeled synthetic data, and records of the model and simulation settings.
